BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
• Must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General / OBC / EWS category. Minimum 40% for SC/ST category. Minimum 45% for General-PwD category — as per Dental Council of India (DCI) and NMC norms.
• Must have completed at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit as per the NMC circular dated March 9, 2022.
• Must be a citizen of India. Foreign nationals must additionally hold a No Objection Certificate from the Government of India, an Eligibility Certificate from Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University, Raipur, a Police Permission Certificate from IG/DIG, Chhattisgarh, and a valid Student Visa.
• Must qualify NEET UG conducted by NTA and secure the minimum qualifying percentile: 50th percentile for General/EWS; 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC; 45th percentile for General-PwD. Simply qualifying NEET does not guarantee admission — final allotment depends on rank, category, and seat availability in counselling rounds.

Admission to NHDCRI Bilaspur BDS is conducted under two broad categories — Government Quota and Management Quota.

Government Quota (State Quota): In Chhattisgarh, 100% of private dental college seats fall under state quota — there is no All India Quota (AIQ) for private dental colleges. Counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur, through the official portal cgdme.in. Only candidates with valid Chhattisgarh domicile are eligible for state quota seats. The counselling is conducted in multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and an Institutional-level Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates must register online on the DME portal, pay a counselling registration fee, upload documents, fill and lock college preferences, and await the allotment result based on NEET rank and reservation norms. Chhattisgarh reservation policy provides horizontal and vertical reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen categories. NEET UG 2025 Chhattisgarh state quota General category closing rank at NHDCRI was approximately 8,00,000–9,00,000 in Mop-Up round — reflecting an accessible and inclusive cutoff profile for this private dental college in Chhattisgarh.

Management Quota: Candidates from all over India are eligible for management quota seats irrespective of domicile. Management quota is further sub-divided into three sub-categories: (1) Local Talent — candidates with Chhattisgarh domicile, (2) NRI — candidates or their wards who are Non-Resident Indians, and (3) Foreign Nationals / General — open to all India and international candidates. Management quota admissions are conducted directly by the college. NEET qualification is mandatory even for management quota seats. Admission is confirmed only after payment of the prescribed fee. Candidates must report to the institute on the allotted date with original documents including NEET UG admit card, NEET scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, domicile/nationality certificate, category certificate (if applicable), migration certificate, 8 passport-size photographs, character certificate, medical fitness certificate, and the allotment letter from DME (for government quota).
