Admission Process Flow
The admission process at NIT Agartala is strictly merit-based through national-level entrance examinations. For B.Tech and Integrated programs, candidates must qualify for JEE Main and participate in the JoSAA/CSAB counseling. M.Tech admissions are conducted through CCMT based on GATE scores. M.Sc programs require valid IIT JAM scores followed by CCMN counseling. Admission to the MCA program is via NIMCET scores, and MBA admissions are based on CAT/CMAT/GMAT scores followed by Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Ph.D. scholars are selected through an institute-level written test and interview.
General Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), securing at least 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST) or being in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For M.Tech: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA. For MCA: A Bachelor's degree (BCA/B.Sc) with 60% and Mathematics/Statistics as a core subject. For MBA: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks.
