Admission Process Flow

Admissions to NCET for the 2025-26 academic session are conducted through multiple entrance examinations and quotas. For undergraduate (B.E.) programs, candidates can apply through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for government seats, or COMEDK UGET and JEE Main for management and other quotas. Post-graduate admissions for MBA and MCA programs are based on Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, MAT, or CMAT scores. M.Tech admissions require a valid GATE or Karnataka PGCET score. The process typically begins with an online application on the official website, followed by entrance exam participation, counseling, and document verification. Management quota admissions are also available based on merit and seat availability.

General Eligibility Criteria

For B.E. programs, candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Computer Science, with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC categories in Karnataka). For M.Tech, a Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering field with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and a valid GATE/PGCET score is required. For MBA and MCA, a recognized Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories) and a valid national or state-level entrance exam score is mandatory.
