Admission Process Flow
Admission to the Faculty of Dentistry, JMI, is highly competitive and strictly merit-based. 1. Candidates must appear for the NEET-UG entrance examination conducted by the NTA. 2. Aspiring students must register for the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) online counseling process. 3. During the counseling, candidates must select Jamia Millia Islamia as their preference. 4. Admission is granted based on the NEET-UG rank, reservation criteria (including 30% for Muslim candidates and a 25% internal quota for JMI students), and availability of seats. 5. Shortlisted candidates must undergo document verification and medical fitness tests. 6. Selected candidates are required to execute a bond of INR 3,00,000, payable if the seat is surrendered after the cut-off date or if the course is discontinued.
General Eligibility Criteria
For the BDS program: 1. Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board. 2. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) is required for General category candidates; 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. 3. Candidates must have passed English as a compulsory subject. 4. The candidate must be at least 17 years of age by December 31 of the admission year. 5. A valid score and qualification in the NEET-UG examination of the current academic session is mandatory.
