Admission Process Flow
Admissions at GJIET are primarily based on merit and entrance examination scores. For B.Tech programs, two-thirds of the seats are filled through online counseling conducted by I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) based on JEE Main ranks. The remaining one-third of the seats are filled through the Management Quota based on 10+2 merit. MBA admissions are conducted through CMAT/MAT scores followed by group discussions and personal interviews.
General Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology, with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). For MBA: A graduation degree in any stream with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech is available for diploma holders with at least 45% marks.
