Admission Process Flow
The admission process at BIT Mesra is primarily entrance-based. For B.Tech and B.Arch programs, candidates must qualify for JEE Main and participate in the JoSAA/CSAB counseling process. Admission to B.Pharm is based on NEET-UG or JEE Main scores. Postgraduate admissions for M.Tech/M.Plan require a valid GATE score, while MBA admissions are conducted through CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. MCA admissions are through the BIT MCA entrance test, and M.Sc programs use JAM or CUET scores. Application forms are typically available on the official website starting in April/May.
General Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Technical Vocational subject, securing at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) as per JoSAA norms. For B.Pharm: 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology with at least 50% aggregate. For MBA: A Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). For M.Tech: B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST). For PhD: Master's degree in relevant branch with at least 60% marks.
