Admission Process Flow

Admission to the Faculty of Dental Sciences, BHU is strictly based on national-level entrance examinations. For the BDS program, candidates must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). For postgraduate (MDS) programs, candidates must qualify for NEET-MDS. Following the declaration of results, eligible candidates must register for the centralized counseling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Seats are allotted based on the candidate's rank, category, and preference. After seat allotment, candidates must report to the Faculty of Dental Sciences for document verification and fee payment.

General Eligibility Criteria

For BDS: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST and 45% for PwD). The candidate must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year. For MDS: Candidates must possess a BDS degree from a university recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and have completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship by the time of admission.
