Admission Process Flow
Admissions to SSN are highly competitive and follow two primary tracks: 1. Government Quota (65% of seats): Filled through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) single-window counseling process based on Class 12 marks. 2. Management Quota (35% of seats): Candidates are selected based on merit through a dedicated entrance test followed by a personal interview. The college also offers specific seats for toppers of Government Rural Schools in Tamil Nadu and for candidates with outstanding achievements in sports.
General Eligibility Criteria
For undergraduate programs, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). For postgraduate programs (M.E./M.Tech), a relevant Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate is required, along with a valid GATE or TANCET score. Management quota applicants must also perform well in the SSN institutional entrance exam.
