Admission to Panjab University is primarily merit-based, determined through various national and university-level entrance examinations.
- Dental (BDS/MDS): Admissions are strictly based on NEET-UG and NEET-MDS scores followed by centralized counseling.
- Engineering (B.E.): Candidates must qualify for JEE Main and participate in JAC Chandigarh counseling.
- Management (MBA): Selection is based on CAT scores or the PU-MET (Management Entrance Test) for specific specializations.
- Law (LL.B/B.A. LL.B): Conducted through the PU-LLB (3 years) and PU-BA/B.Com LLB (5 years) entrance exams.
- General UG/PG: Admission to most science and arts courses is through PU-CET (UG) and PU-CET (PG).
