Admissions to NIT Jalandhar are strictly based on national-level merit. For B.Tech programs, candidates must qualify for the JEE Main examination followed by JoSAA/CSAB counseling. M.Tech admissions are conducted through the GATE score via CCMT counseling. M.Sc. admissions require a valid IIT-JAM score through CCMN counseling. General Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects, securing at least 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST) or being in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For M.Tech: A relevant B.E./B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA is required. For M.Sc./MBA: A Bachelor's degree in the relevant field with at least 60% marks is mandatory.
