Admission Process Flow
Admission to undergraduate programs (B.Tech, Dual Degree) is conducted through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced, which requires qualifying JEE Main first. Post-results, candidates must participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling. For postgraduate courses: 1. M.Tech admissions are based on GATE scores. 2. M.Sc. admissions are through the IIT-JAM exam. 3. MBA admissions require a valid CAT score followed by a personal interview. 4. HSEE (Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination) was previously used for MA, but now integrated via specific entrance pathways. 5. PhD and MS (Research) admissions involve a written test and an interview conducted by the respective departments.
General Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech/Dual Degree: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. A minimum aggregate of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12 or being in the top 20 percentile of the respective board is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must qualify for JEE Main and secure a valid rank in JEE Advanced. For M.Tech: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) and a valid GATE score. For MBA: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks and a valid CAT score.
