M.Tech. in Communication and Information Technology

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university.
• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA for General/OBC category; 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD category.
• Valid GATE score is mandatory for full-time regular candidates.
• Admission is based on GATE score followed by CCMT counselling.

Admission Process for M.Tech Programs:

• Admission is based on a valid GATE score.
• Candidates must register and fill choices on the official CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech) portal (ccmt.nic.in).
• Seat allotment is done through CCMT counselling based on GATE score, preferences, and category.
• After seat allotment, candidates must report to NIT Srinagar for document verification and fee payment.
• For the latest academic session (2026), CCMT counselling is expected to begin in May 2026.
