  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • Year-Wise Tuition Fee Structure: Year 1: Rs. 1.25 Lakhs, Years 2-4: Rs. 1.25 Lakhs per year[reference:0].

  • Tuition Fee Exemptions: SC/ST/PwD students are fully exempted from tuition fee. Students in GE, OBC-NCL, EWS categories with family income less than Rs. 1 Lakh per annum also get full exemption. For family income between Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 5 Lakhs, a 2/3rd tuition fee exemption is applicable[reference:3].

Selection and Admission Process

  • Step 1: Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for and qualify in the JEE Main examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Step 2: Registration for Counselling: After the JEE Main results are declared, candidates need to register for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process.
  • Step 3: Choice Filling: During the JoSAA counseling, candidates must fill in their preferences for courses and institutes, including NIT Srinagar and the B.Tech Chemical Engineering program.[reference:5].
  • Step 4: Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on the candidate's JEE Main rank, category, and filled choices.
  • Step 5: Reporting and Admission Confirmation: Candidates who are allotted a seat must 'Freeze' or 'Slide' and report to the institute online or in person for document verification and payment of admission fees to confirm their seat.
