B.Tech in Information Technology

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum 75% aggregate in PCM for General/OBC/EWS category; 65% for SC/ST category.
• Must have a valid score in JEE Main. Admission is through JoSAA counseling.
• Must have completed at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission.

Fee Structure Breakdown

• Total Tuition Fee for 4-year B.Tech course: Rs. 5.00 Lakhs.
• Yearly Tuition Fee: Rs. 1.25 Lakhs. Semester-wise fees are consistent with the annual breakdown.
• Other Fees (one-time, caution, etc.): Approximately Rs. 85,900.
• Total Course Fees: Rs. 6.12 Lakhs. First year payment: Approx. Rs. 1.87 Lakhs.

Admission Process

• Step 1: Entrance Exam: Candidates must have a valid JEE Main score.
• Step 2: Registration: Register for JoSAA counseling on the official JoSAA website.
• Step 3: Choice Filling: Fill in the college and course preferences, including NIT Patna and the desired B.Tech branch.
• Step 4: Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on JEE Main rank, preferences, and seat availability. Multiple rounds of counseling are conducted.
• Step 5: Reporting: Selected candidates must report to NIT Patna for document verification and fee payment.

Post-Selection Reporting

• Upon selection, candidates must report to the campus for document verification and fee payment.
• Required Documents: Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates, JEE Main scorecard, JoSAA allotment letter, Transfer Certificate, Migration Certificate (if applicable), Caste certificate (if applicable), PwD certificate (if applicable), Passport-size photographs, Medical fitness certificate, Anti-ragging undertaking.
