Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as the optional subject .
Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM for General category; 45% for SC/ST/OBC/Category-1 candidates .
Must have a valid score in any of the accepted entrance exams: KCET (for Karnataka candidates), COMEDK UGET (for all India candidates), or JEE Main .
Selection is based on entrance exam rank followed by centralized counseling (KEA for KCET, COMEDK for COMEDK quota).

Fee Structure Breakdown
Total tuition fee for 4-year B.Tech course: Rs. 11.88 Lakhs (approx.) .
Yearly tuition fee: Rs. 2.97 Lakhs .
Hostel and Mess: Rs. 1.20 Lakhs to Rs. 2.00 Lakhs per year (depending on room type and facilities; separate for boys and girls) .
Total B.Tech seats across specializations: 720 per year .
Government Quota (KCET): approx. 40% of seats .
COMEDK Quota (All India): approx. 30% of seats .
Management Quota seats are also available; branch-wise intake as per AICTE approval .
Admission Process
Step 1: Entrance Exam: Candidates must have a valid score in KCET (for Karnataka candidates) or COMEDK UGET (for all India candidates). JEE Main scores are also accepted for management quota admissions .
Step 2: Application: For KCET quota, register on the KEA portal (kea.kar.nic.in). For COMEDK quota, register on the COMEDK portal (comedk.org). The application fee is approx. Rs. 1,000 – Rs. 2,000 depending on the quota .
Step 3: Counseling & Choice Filling: Qualified candidates must register for centralized counseling (KEA for KCET, COMEDK for COMEDK). Fill MSRIT branch preferences in order of priority .
Step 4: Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on entrance exam rank, category, and choice filling. Candidates who are allotted a seat must pay the admission fee and report to the college .
Step 5: Document Verification & Reporting: Candidates must physically report to the MSRIT campus with original documents for verification within the stipulated date .
