Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Must have secured a minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General/OBC/EWS category. Minimum 40% for SC/ST category. Minimum 45% for General-PwD category as per Dental Council of India (DCI) and NMC norms.
  • Must have completed at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission. No upper age limit as per NMC circular dated March 9, 2022.
  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Must qualify NEET UG conducted by NTA and secure the minimum qualifying percentile: 50th percentile for General/EWS, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC, and 45th percentile for General-PwD category.

Admission Process

Admission is strictly based on NEET UG score as per directions of the Dental Council of India (DCI) and Government of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh is an open state, meaning 100% of private dental college seats are available to all Indian candidates regardless of domicile - no state domicile restriction applies for private colleges. Counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh, through the official portal upneet.gov.in. Counselling is conducted in multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and an Institutional Stray Vacancy Round. Steps for admission: (1) Register on upneet.gov.in and pay the counselling registration fee. (2) Upload documents including NEET UG scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, and category certificate if applicable. (3) Complete document verification. (4) Fill and lock college preferences including Kalka Dental College, Meerut. (5) Await allotment result. (6) Report to the college with original documents and pay the first-year fee to confirm the seat. NEET UG 2024 General category closing rank for Kalka Dental College in the Special Stray Vacancy Round was approximately 4,18,075, which corresponds to a NEET score in the range of 300-350 marks, making it an accessible option for dental aspirants.
