Admission to CDCRI Rajnandgaon BDS is conducted through two quota systems: State Quota (100% of seats managed by DME Chhattisgarh) and Management Quota (institutional-level admissions for NEET-qualified candidates). There is no All India Quota (AIQ) for private dental colleges in Chhattisgarh; all seats fall under state quota or management quota.
Step 1 - NEET UG Examination: Candidates must register on the NTA portal at neet.nta.nic.in, pay the applicable application fee, and appear for NEET UG (scheduled May 3, 2026 for NEET UG 2026). The minimum qualifying percentile is 50th for General/EWS, 40th for SC/ST/OBC, and 45th for General-PwD.
Step 2 - Chhattisgarh DME State Quota Counselling (100% seats - State Quota): Counselling for all state quota BDS seats at CDCRI is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur, through the portal cgdme.in. Candidates from any state in India are eligible for private dental college seats in Chhattisgarh as no domicile restriction applies for private colleges. Counselling is conducted in multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and an Institution-level Stray Vacancy Round. Steps: (1) Register at cgdme.in after NEET UG results. Pay the registration fee of Rs. 2,000 for General/OBC or Rs. 1,000 for SC/ST/PwD (non-refundable). (2) Upload required documents including NEET UG scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, and category certificate if applicable. (3) Complete document verification at the designated DME nodal centre or online. (4) Fill and lock college and course preferences, including CDCRI Rajnandgaon BDS. (5) Await seat allotment result published on cgdme.in. (6) If allotted CDCRI, report to the institute at P.O. 25, Sundra, Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh - 491441, within the stipulated date with the original allotment letter and all original documents. Pay the prescribed fee on the day of reporting to confirm the seat. Chhattisgarh applies OBC (14%), SC (12%), ST (32%), EWS (10%), and PwD (5%) horizontal reservation norms.
NEET UG Cutoff Profile: CDCRI being Chhattisgarh first dental college, established in 2002, with a well-developed campus and attached government medical college hospital, attracts students with mid-range NEET scores. General category CG state quota closing NEET score at CDCRI in 2024 was approximately 280 to 320 marks in the final Mop-up/Stray Vacancy Round, making it an accessible option for dental aspirants.
Step 3 - Management Quota Admissions: Candidates from all over India are eligible for management quota seats irrespective of domicile. NEET qualification is mandatory even for management quota as per DCI/NMC guidelines. Interested candidates must contact CDCRI Admissions Office directly at 0774-4281931 or through the official website cdcri.edu.in, obtain and fill the management quota application form, submit required documents, and pay the prescribed fee as fixed by the Chhattisgarh Fee Regulatory Committee. Allotment is on the basis of NEET UG rank among applicants.
Documents required at reporting: NEET UG admit card and scorecard, DME Chhattisgarh seat allotment letter (state quota) or CDCRI management quota allotment letter, Class 10 mark sheet and certificate, Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate, transfer and migration certificate from last institution, character certificate, domicile/nationality certificate, category certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD if applicable, 8 recent passport-size photographs on white background, medical fitness certificate from a registered medical officer, and anti-ragging undertaking signed by the candidate and parent/guardian.
