Must have a valid score in BITSAT 2026. The institute also has a direct admission pathway for board toppers.

The top 500 rankers with an annual family income of up to Rs 20 lakh receive a full tuition scholarship for all four years, subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at their respective campuses.

Fee Structure Breakdown
Total tuition fee for the 4-year B.E. program: Rs. 23.67 Lakhs.
Total academic fees (including tuition, caution fee of Rs 3,000, and other fees of Rs 1.59 Lakhs): Rs. 25.29 Lakhs.
Hostel fee (including mess and electricity advance): Rs. 3.42 Lakhs. The total fee including hostel is Rs. 28.71 Lakhs.
Students can pay the course fees in easy installments. For the first year, the tuition per semester is Rs 2,75,000, with a one-time admission fee of Rs 60,500. The tuition rises by about 5% annually.
BITS Pilani offers merit scholarships based on BITSAT score: the top 2% get a 100% tuition waiver, the next 1% get a 50% tuition waiver. Merit-cum-need scholarships are also available.

Admission Process
Step 1: BITSAT 2026: Candidates must register for the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2026 on the official admissions portal (admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in). The application fee is Rs 3,500.
Step 2: Appear for BITSAT: The computer-based test is typically held in May and June. Candidates can choose to appear for one or both sessions. The test assesses proficiency in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning.
Step 3: Apply for Admission: After the BITSAT results are announced, candidates must fill out the admission application form separately on the BITS admission portal.
Step 4: Counselling and Seat Allotment: Admissions and seat allocation are based on the candidate's BITSAT score and their preferences for campuses and courses. There is no centralized counselling authority; the process is managed directly by BITS Pilani.
Post-Selection Reporting
Upon receiving a provisional admission offer, selected candidates must report to the allotted campus (Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad) for document verification and fee payment.
