M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML)

• Must have a B.Tech/B.E. in CSE/IT/ECE or related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum 60% aggregate in graduation (55% for SC/ST categories).
• Valid score in UPESMET (UPES Management Entrance Test) or GATE (with scholarship benefits).
• Candidates with a valid GATE score (CS/IT) are eligible for a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month as per AICTE norms.
• Final year students can apply provisionally, provided they submit final marksheets by October 31 of the admission year.
• Work experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Admission Process

• Step 1: Register online at admissions.upes.ac.in for UPESMET-2026 or apply using GATE scores.
• Step 2: Appear for UPESMET (Computer Based Test at 50+ centers across India) or upload GATE scorecard.
• Step 3: Shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview (PI) round.
• Step 4: Final merit list is prepared based on 70% entrance score (GATE/UPESMET) + 30% Personal Interview.
• Step 5: Selected candidates must pay the acceptance fee (Rs. 50,000) within 7 days to block the seat.
• Scholarships: 100% tuition fee waiver for GATE score > 750; 50% waiver for GATE > 650; based on UPESMET rank as well.

Post-Allotment Reporting at UPES Dehradun Campus

• Report to UPES Campus, P.O. Bidholi, Via-Prem Nagar, Dehradun, Uttarakhand - 248007 within the date mentioned in the offer letter.
• Documents required: B.Tech all semester marksheets and degree certificate, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, GATE scorecard or UPESMET admit card, Transfer Certificate from last institution, Migration Certificate, Character Certificate, Category certificate (if applicable), 8 passport-size photographs, Medical fitness certificate, Anti-ragging undertaking (as per UGC format).
• Fee payment can be made online via UPES student portal or through Demand Draft in favour of 'UPES Fee Collection Account', payable at Dehradun.
