India MBBS/ BDS Admission Procedure
The admissions within the medical colleges and universities of India are offered only through national-level entrance exams. Through national level entrance exams, candidates NEET-UG 2021  can get admission in any state medical and dental college in medical courses.

Admission into postgraduate medical courses is obtainable through NEET PG.

 MBBS/BDS  Admission In India

Admission in MBBS/BDS programs is offered through NEET-UG 2021 national level entrance exam. The NEET-UG is widely used by all Indian Medical Colleges for MBBS/BDS admission.

AIIMS and JIPMER admission is also done through NEET UG 2021 scores. Students who fulfill the given eligibility criteria can apply for NEET UG 2021.

  • Students must be an Indian citizen.
  • OCI students can also apply.
  • The minimum age for the student should be 17 years as of 31st December of the year of admission.
  • The maximum age is 25 years and 30 years for reserved categories.
  • Students should pass the 12th class with a PCB subject combination along with English as a compulsory subject.
  • Students studying in the 12th class can also apply.

Selection Procedure

The Candidates will be selected for the seat allotment on the basis of rank. The seats will be allotted at the time of counselling. After the declaration of the NEET-UG result, the authority will release the merit list of the candidates as per their ranks.

Candidates have to appear in the online counselling where they have to fill the preferences of colleges. For participating in the counselling it is necessary to first register on the respective counselling website.

Candidates have to undergo documents verification for the allotment of seats. Candidates can download the admission letter and report to the allotted colleges for final admission.

What New In NEET-UG Counselling?

  • There has been a considerable increase in the number of medical colleges participating in AIQ counselling this year. a complete of 235 medical colleges are participating in AIQ counseling when it had been only 193 medical colleges last year.
  • The addition of Colleges has increased the number of seats available under AIQ which has increased to 4591 when it had been only 4064 last year.
  • The counseling for 85% of seats in Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and ESIC college which was earlier conducted by the IPU administration will now be conducted MCC from this year onwards.

Eligibility Criteria NEET-UG  Counselling

  • Only candidates who have qualified in the NEET-UG entrance test by achieving the prerequisite minimum qualifying percentile are going to be eligible to participate within the NEET-UG counseling date.
  • Candidates belonging to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir won’t eligible to participate in the NEET-UG counseling date.
  • To be eligible to participate within the NEET-UG counseling, candidates must register themselves on the MCC website within the stipulated time.
  • All candidates, including candidates from the erstwhile state of J&K who have qualified NEET-UG, are going to be eligible to participate within the AIQ counseling for Deemed Universities.

Central University NEET-UG Counselling

  • Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC): – 15% Seats are going to be contributed to all or any India Quota & for the remainder 85% institutional quota seats, only those candidates are eligible who have studied 11th & 12th grade in Delhi.
  •  Aligarh Muslim University (AMU):- The university will have 50% Institutional reservation for the candidates who have studied from their schools for the last 3 years. The remaining 50% of seats are going to be hospitable to all NEET-UG qualified candidates.
  •  BHU:- All candidates who are eligible for NEET-UG counseling also will be eligible to participate in BHU MBBS Counseling for all seats offered within the University.
  •  Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: a complete of three seats of BDS are under the interior quota of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi and 47 seats of BDS seats are going to be hospitable all. Students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying examination (Class 10 or 12) from Jamia Schools as regular students are going to be eligible to urge admission under the internal quota of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi.

NEET-UG Counselling Procedure

Firstly, interested candidates are going to be required to register online at www.mcc.nic.in. After successful registration, candidates must fill the selection in fact and provides preferences of the college/institute they want to urge admission into. Candidates are going to be asked to pay two sorts of fees at the time of registration for either 15% AIQ/ Central University and Deemed University. A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1000/- is going to be charged from all Unreserved candidates (Rs 500 for SC/ST/OBC candidates) who intends to participate. The prescribed non-refundable registration fee for Deemed University is going to be Rs 5000/-. Along with that a refundable fee also has got to be paid at the time of registration. Exit with forfeiture means if a candidate is allotted a seat within the second round of counselling and doesn’t want to hitch the allotted seat then, as per the exit policy, candidates can exit with forfeiture (losing security amount deposited) and once the candidate joined the allotted seat can’t be surrendered or resigned from it.

 State-level MBBS/BDS Counselling

the remaining 85% seats in government medical colleges, 100% seats offered in Deemed Universities and personal medical colleges are going to be filled by NEET-UG counselling conducted by respective state counselling authorities. The state counselling authority will release their own NEET-UG merit list, counselling schedule, form and seat allotment list. Each state has its own domicile rule, which can be applicable in state-level NEET-UG counselling. Since the universities of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir don’t participate in AIQ NEET-UG counselling therefore all the seats are going to be filled in state counselling.
