Admission Process

Admission to SBIDS Raipur BDS is conducted under two broad categories: Government/State Quota and Management Quota.

State Quota (Govt. Quota): In Chhattisgarh, 100% of private dental college seats fall under state quota with no All India Quota (AIQ) for private dental colleges. Counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur, through the official portal cgdme.in. All candidates from any state in India with a valid NEET UG score are eligible to participate in Chhattisgarh state counselling for private dental colleges with no domicile restriction. The counselling is conducted in multiple rounds: Round 1 (State Quota seats), Round 2, Mop-up Round, and an Institution-level Stray Vacancy Round. Steps: (1) Register at cgdme.in by paying the counselling registration fee of Rs.2,000 (General/OBC) or Rs.1,000 (SC/ST/PwD). (2) Upload required documents including NEET UG scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, category certificate if applicable, and domicile certificate if applying for reserved categories. (3) Complete document verification at the DME nodal centre or online as applicable. (4) Fill and lock college preferences with SBIDS included and ranked based on NEET score and budget. (5) Await seat allotment result published on cgdme.in. (6) If allotted SBIDS, report to the institute within the stipulated date with the original allotment letter and all original documents. Pay the first-year fee to secure the seat. Chhattisgarh applies OBC (14%), SC (12%), ST (32%), EWS (10%), and PwD (5%) horizontal reservation norms for government category seats. NEET UG 2025 CG state quota General closing score for SBIDS BDS was in the range of 300 to 380 marks in the Mop-Up/Stray Vacancy round indicating an accessible, mid-range cutoff profile for this private dental college.

Management Quota: Candidates from all over India are eligible irrespective of domicile. NEET qualification is mandatory even for management quota seats per DCI/NMC guidelines. Management quota admissions are conducted directly by SBIDS in coordination with the Chhattisgarh Fee Regulatory Committee. Upon allotment, candidates must report with original documents: NEET UG admit card, NEET scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and passing certificates, character certificate, domicile/nationality certificate, category certificate if applicable, migration certificate from last institution, 8 passport-size photographs, medical fitness certificate, gap certificate if applicable for students with academic gap year, and anti-ragging undertaking. Fee must be paid on the day of reporting by RTGS/NEFT/Demand Draft in favour of Shri Balaji Institute of Dental Sciences payable at Raipur. Cash payments are not accepted for seat confirmation.
