Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Must have secured a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board.
- Must qualify JEE Main and be among the top 2.5 lakh rank holders to become eligible for JEE Advanced.
- Must qualify JEE Advanced 2026 with a competitive rank.
- Must participate in the JoSAA counselling 2026 for seat allocation.

Fee Structure Breakdown
- Total tuition fee for the 4-year B.Tech program: Rs. 8.60 Lakhs.
- Yearly tuition fee: Approx. Rs. 2.15 Lakhs (may vary slightly by year).
- Hostel fee: Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 80,000 per year, depending on the type of accommodation.
- One-time admission fee: Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 15,000 (approx.).
- Total fee for the entire course (including hostel): Approx. Rs. 10.60 Lakhs - Rs. 11.80 Lakhs.
- Median placement package (2025): Rs. 15.8 Lakhs per annum.

- Admission is strictly based on JEE Advanced rank through JoSAA counselling.
Admission Process
- Step 1: Qualify JEE Main and be among the top 2.5 lakh rank holders.
- Step 2: Qualify JEE Advanced 2026.
- Step 3: Register for JoSAA counselling and fill choices.
- Step 4: Participate in seat allotment rounds.
- Step 5: Pay seat acceptance fee and complete document verification at the assigned reporting center.
Post-Selection Reporting
- Upon seat allotment, candidates must report to IIT Kanpur for document verification and fee payment.
- Required Documents: JEE Advanced Admit Card and Rank Card, Class 10 & 12 Mark Sheets and Certificates, Passport-size Photographs, Government-issued Photo ID, Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable), JoSAA Seat Allotment Letter, Provisional Seat Acceptance Fee Receipt, Medical Fitness Certificate.
