Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects.
Minimum 75% aggregate in Class XII (or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board) for General/OBC-NCL/EWS categories; 65% for SC/ST/PwD categories.
Must qualify JEE Advanced and participate in JoSAA counseling.
Must be in the top 2.5 lakh rank in JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced.

Fee Structure Breakdown
Total tuition fee for 4-year B.Tech program: Approx. Rs. 9.24 Lakhs (Rs. 2.31 Lakhs per year).
Hostel and Mess fee: Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 80,000 per year (mandatory for on-campus residents).
Other Institute fees (gymkhana, medical, library, etc.): Approx. Rs. 15,000 per semester.
Total course fee including hostel: Approx. Rs. 12.5 to Rs. 13.5 Lakhs.

All admissions are conducted through JoSAA counseling based on JEE Advanced ranks.
Admission Process
Step 1: Qualify JEE Main and secure a rank within the top 2.5 lakh.
Step 2: Appear for and qualify JEE Advanced with a rank high enough to meet the cutoff for IIT Bombay.
Step 3: Register for JoSAA counseling, fill in course and college preferences, and lock choices.
Step 4: Based on rank and preferences, receive an allotment. Report to IIT Bombay for document verification and fee payment within the stipulated date.
Post-Selection Reporting
Upon selection, candidates must report to the IIT Bombay campus in Powai, Mumbai for document verification and fee payment.
Required Documents: Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates, JEE Main and JEE Advanced scorecards, JoSAA allotment letter, Category certificate (if applicable), PwD certificate (if applicable), Passport-size photographs, Medical fitness certificate, Anti-ragging undertaking, Provisional admission letter from JoSAA.
