Diploma in Dental Mechanic

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General category; relaxation for SC/ST as per government norms.
• Must have completed at least 17 years of age.
• NEET UG is NOT required for this diploma program. Admission is merit-based on Class 12 PCB scores.

Fee Structure Breakdown

• Annual tuition fee: Rs. 40,000 approx.[reference:13].
• Total tuition for full 2-year Diploma in Dental Mechanic course: Rs. 80,000 approx.
• Hostel: No college hostel for girls; private accommodation costs Rs. 6,000 - Rs. 7,000 per month. Hostel available for boys.

Admission Process

• Admission is merit-based on Class 12 PCB aggregate scores; NEET UG is not required.

Post-Selection Reporting

• Report to Government Dental College, Thiruvananthapuram, Medical College Road, Chalakkuzhi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala - 695011.
• Documents Required: Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates, School and College Leaving Certificate, Character Certificate, Domicile certificate, Category certificate (if applicable), Passport-size photographs, Medical fitness certificate, Anti-ragging undertaking.
• Program overview: DCI recognized Diploma in Dental Mechanic; trains students in fabrication of complete dentures, removable partial dentures, fixed crowns and bridges, orthodontic appliances, cast metal frameworks, and ceramic restorations.
• Career scope: Government dental hospitals, private dental clinics, dental college labs, dental manufacturing units, and independent dental laboratory setup.
