Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC category.
• Must have a valid score in NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
• Must have completed at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year.

Fee Structure Breakdown

• Total tuition fee for the 5-year BDS program: Approx. ₹25,00,000.
• Yearly tuition fee: ₹6,00,000 to ₹8,00,000 depending on the fee structure of the constituent dental college.
• Hostel and mess charges: ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,50,000 per year (varies by room type).
• One-time admission and caution deposit: As per university norms (approx. ₹10,000 - ₹20,000).
• Median placement package: ₹3.5 - ₹6 LPA (approx.).

Seat Matrix

• Total BDS seats across constituent dental colleges: 100 per college (subject to DCI approval).
• Admissions are based on NEET UG scores and centralized counselling.

Admission Process

• Step 1: Entrance Exam: Candidates must qualify NEET UG (conducted by NTA).
• Step 2: Application: After NEET results, register for centralized counselling through the state (Maharashtra) or central (MCC) portal, as applicable.
• Step 3: Counseling & Selection: Candidates are shortlisted based on their NEET rank, participate in document verification, and choose their preferred college (e.g., Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College, Pune or Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, Navi Mumbai).
• Step 4: Reporting: Upon seat allotment, report to the respective college for final admission and fee payment.
